I obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Arizona with a double major in weaving and photography. I spent about eight years weaving my own designs while living on a ranch off the grid in southeastern Arizona with my husband and daughter.
After moving a little closer to Tucson, I continued to weave my own designs and became interested in textile conservation. I did a 9 month apprenticeship with a woman who had her own conservation business for 20 years, learning to use my weaving skills in Navajo rug restoration, as well as restore quilts, beadwork and other textiles. I have been sewing since I was a teenager and spent several years doing beadwork.
Currently I live in Tucson, Arizona, where I work on my restoration business, as well as my own weaving projects. I have been restoring and repairing textiles since 2002.
